Hey Jerome,

First off let me thank you for such a great program, I have used many others for the PC and I have learned alot just from using it and reading your tutorial.

Here is my problem: I have converted, successfully, a Pal disc to NTSC using the patch method. If your not familiar this is changing the .IFO files and saving then authoring the dvd.

Like I said this worked beautifully. My problem seems to be with the subtitles and menu buttons. While the menu buttons are not a big issue with me, the subtitles are. It seems that no matter what I set the aspect to in myDVDEdit that the picture is always full screen and consequently offthe screen. I can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong in the respect.

Thank you in advance for your help and for such a great program.

There is no way to change the subpictures aspect ratio.

The only problem I see is:
PAL subpictures are set with the PAL standard resolution 720x576
NTCS subpictures resolution should be 720x480

if your PAL to NTSC converter didnt convert the subpictures too, they are too big.

You can verify that with myDVDEdit.
Select a frame with a subtitle in myDVDEdit
In the Subpictures tab, open the Display Area option. It should be under 720x480
