Hi guys - I've been looking for a solution to the following problem and I wonder if any of you DVD-editing folk can help?:

I've been ripping (legal) dvds to Video_TS folders on my mac, then using "Front Row" as a media center to play them back from. I use MyDVDEdit to resize them to 16:9 format if they need it. The problem is this - doing it this way (watching via Friont Row), there is a small "skip" or pause in the video every couple of seconds - this spoils the experience and even makes some of my dvd folders unwatchable. If I just watch the Video_TS folder directly in Apple DVD player, the problem doesn't seem to be as bad (in fact, I don't think it's there at all). Therefore, the problem is probably not with the source video itself, perhaps the answer lies in those DVD settings that MyDVDEdit is designed to tweak? - so I guess my question is this - have any of you seen this before? - and also, is there a setting accessible to MyDVDEdit that can be used to rectify the problem?

Thanks in advance for your help

No, there is no setting to rectify the problem.

You said the problem is not with the source video. I think it is.
I think you would have the same problem, using myDVDEdit or not.

Try VLC, much video problems are correctly managed with this great player.

Thanks Jerome - I'll try it.

Unfortunately there's no way to force which video player Front Row uses so I'll have to change to a different HTPC front end perhaps
